Diamond Peel Micro dermabrasion

What is Diamond Peel?
A diamond peel is a crystal-free microdermabrasion. During this procedure, a state-of-the-art diamond cut handpiece with a sandpaper-like surface will be used to gently remove the dead skin and debris on the outer layer of your skin, leaving smoother, cleaner, brighter skin.

How is the Diamond Peel different from regular microdermabrasion?
Unlike traditional crystal microdermabrasion, which blows crystals on the skin and then removes them from your skin via suction, the Diamond Peel uses a diamond-cut precision handpiece to gentle exfoliate the skin. The risk of crystal microdermabrasion is that some crystals can tear the skin or even stay lodged in the skin after the procedure. The procedure can also be very messy if crystals are used. The Diamond Peel is safe, effective, gentle, clean, won’t leave any residue on the skin, and allows you to see exactly how much dead skin and debris is removed.

What does the Diamond Peel do for the skin?
The Diamond Peel gently, safely removes the outer layers of the stratum corneum, and any debris on the skin such as surface blackheads, oil and dirt. The Diamond Peel is excellent for anyone whose skin is dull, flaky, dry, dirty, and anyone with clogged pores. The Diamond Peel can also help improve the appearance of brown spots and wrinkles, and can also help patients with mild to moderate acne by opening up the pores and allowing them to breathe.

Does the Diamond Peel hurt?
No, the Diamond Peel does not hurt. You may feel some abrasion and suction but there is no pain involved.

How long is does the Diamond Peel procedure?
The Diamond Peel procedure takes approximately 45 minutes.

Can I go back to work and put on makeup after the procedure?
Absolutely. The Diamond Peel will leave you with smooth, clean skin. Your face may be a bit flushed but you can definitely put on makeup and go back to work.

What if I am using Retin-A or Retinol?
The Diamond Peel is excellent for people using any type of Vitamin A derivative which promotes cell turnover. For patients using Retin-A or Retinol products, we recommend a treatment every 3-4 weeks.

How often should I do a Diamond Peel?
For the best maintenance, you should have a Diamond Peel every 4-6 weeks.

Can I do a Diamond Peel and another procedure at the same time?
Absolutely. The Diamond Peel is a great procedure to do before getting a facial – it will help products penetrate better. It is also great procedure to do before getting a photofacial or many of our other laser treatments.

What is the Diamond Peel treatment like?
When you come in for a Diamond Peel, we will examine your face to make sure that you don’t have any broken skin other contraindication. We will cleanse your face thoroughly and prep your face with a degreasing solution, which will allow the Diamond Peel to more effectively remove the dead cells. The Diamond Peel Procedure will be performed. After the procedure, we will show you how much dead skin and debris was removed during the procedure. After that, we will apply a soothing mask to relax and hydrate your skin. You will leave the office looking and feeling refreshed, and you will immediately feel the difference!
