What is Lipodissolve?
LIPODISSOLVE
is a revolutionary new procedure to melt fat. It is the name of a treatment with microinjections to induce fat lysis of the face and body without surgery. Lipodissolve is a procedure that was developed by founders of the since 2001.
Lipodissolve
is otherwise know as lipolysis, lipid reduction, lipo-contouring,
liposculpture, and has many names. The term "Lipodissolve"
is a trademarked name that has gained popularity in the
public and media and refers to an injection procedure of
a mixture of phosphatidylcholine and sodium deoxycholate
directly into the subcutaneous fat, to induce lipolysis
(fat cell breakdown), thereby reducing specific areas of
unwanted body fat.
Why should I choose Medispa Institute for my
Lipodissolve procedure?
At the Medispa Institute, we give you great results with less treatments. We
have supercharged our Lipodissolve results through a
technique that utilizes ultrasound to enhance the simple
Lipodissolve procedure.
Ultrasound-assisted Lipodissolve is much more effective,
requires less sessions, and is less painful than simple
Lipodissolve. Ultrasound pre-procedure helps warm up the
fat cells, which allows for better penetration and
distribution of the Lipodissolve medicine.
Ultrasound post-procedure helps reduce
post-treatment swelling and bruising. With
ultrasound-assisted Lipodissolve you can get the same
results in 2-4 treatments that would normally take 6-8
sessions. Less pain, less treatments, but much better
results!
What can I expect on the day of treatment?
On the day of treatment, we will
conduct a thorough informed consent process whereby you
are educated about the risks and benefits of the
treatment prior to beginning the procedure. A thorough medical history will be taken and
photographs will be taken. We ask that you bring a pair
of tight pants, shorts, or bra that do not stretch. This
piece of clothing will be used to photograph and measure
you throughout the treatment process. After the pictures are taken, we will perform a
five minute ultrasound treatment. Then, the treatment
area will be marked up and the treatment will be
performed. After the treatment, we will again perform
another ultrasound. You will be given a bag of ice and post treatment
instructions before leaving the facility.
How many treatments will I need?
We recommend two to four treatments
per treatment area, with a maximum of six treatments per
year.
How often do I need to come for treatments?
Each treatment is administered one month apart, so the total treatment time will be four to
six months.
Is the treatment painful?
There is very little pain
associated with this procedure. Most patients report a slight pinch or stinging
sensation when the needle is injected, however, it is
not painful, it is simply a bit uncomfortable.
When will I begin to see results?
Immediately after the treatment,
you will begin to feel the treatment working. The
treated area begins to swell and feel hot to the touch.
This is a normal reaction, which indicates that the fat
cells are breaking down. Over the next few days, you will experience some
discomfort, swelling, bruising, and achiness. After this initial period of swelling, you may
begin to see results, however, most people do not see
results until after the second treatment session.
What kind of results will I see?
Lipodissolve helps you reduce local
fat and helps you lose inches. Most people report that
their clothes fit better, or their tight pants are no
longer tight.Fat
is an extremely light substance, so you will not see
much change in weight.
How much downtime will I have?
Can I go to work after the treatment?
This is a no-downtime procedure and
you should be able to resume your normal activities
after the treatment. However, people who have to lift heavy objects, or who work
jobs that require a lot of physical activity may feel
some soreness and have limited range of movement for 1-2
days depending on the treated area.
What do I need to do to prepare
for the procedure?
To prepare for the procedure,
don’t take any aspirin or ibuprofen (motrin, exedrin,
advil, etc) for at least one week prior to the
procedure. Apply lotion and/or stretch mark cream to the
area to be treated. This helps maintain the skin’s
elasticity when the skin swells.Begin taking Arnica a few days prior to treatment
and for a week after treatment to minimize swelling and
bruising. If you
have hair in the treatment area, please shave it prior
to arriving for your treatment.
Does this work for everyone?
Lipodissolve works for
approximately 8 out of 10 individuals, which is an
extremely high success rate. Some people simply do not respond to Lipodissolve and it is
impossible to predict who will not respond. If you do not respond, we will know after the
second session and we will recommend that you stop
treatment at that time.
What areas can be treated successfully with Lipodissolve?
There are many areas can be treated
with Lipodissolve, but some areas respond better than
others. At the Medispa Institute, we can perform
Lipodissolve on the following areas:
Ø
Upper abdomen/belly
Ø
Lower abdomen/belly
Ø
Inner thighs
Ø
Outer thighs
Ø
Love handles
Ø
Lower Buttocks
Ø
Banana rolls (area below buttock)
Ø
Back rolls (area below bra)
Ø
Front/back area around armpits
Ø
Double Chin (below the chin)
Ø
Jowls
How many areas can be treated per session?
For safety and efficacy, we
recommend treating from 1-3 areas per session.
How long will it last?
Lipodissolve is similar to
liposuction in that it will help get rid of unwanted
fat. How long it lasts depends on how well you take care
of yourself after the procedure. If you do not maintain a healthy lifestyle, it
will not last long. If you eat healthy, diet, and
exercise, you should be able to maintain the results
much longer.
What are the limitations with Lipodissolve?
LIPODISSOLVE is an excellent procedure for healthy
people with who are slightly above their normal body weight, for healthy adults
that have problem fatty areas such as the lower abdomen, or people with areas of
fat that can be easily pinched between the thumb and forefinger. However,
it is not a procedure for people with obesity or for people with health
conditions such as diabetes. Lipodissolve is not a substitute for diet and
exercise, and should not be considered as a weight loss alternative.
Is the procedure safe?
Although LIPODISSOLVE is a fairly new procedure, there have been more than
50,000 procedures completed to date with no major complications. As with any
medical procedure, complications can arise, however, and are usually associated
with allergic reactions or medical complications associated with other diseases
and health problems.
How much does the treatment
cost?
Lipodissolve is extremely affordable compared to
liposuction.It
costs a fraction of the cost of liposuction, without the
risk of surgery and with virtually no down time. Please contact our office at 832-300-5593 for a
